How we source numbers
Every guide cites its sources at the bottom of the page, with dates. Equipment prices come from vendor and dealer listings, retail prices from published price guides and real shop price lists, and franchise figures from each franchisor's own site and its franchise disclosure document listings. Where sources disagree, we say so and show both.
How we treat competitors
We use each company's own published numbers, not ArmorThane's description of them. Packages from different suppliers include different things, so a starting price is never the whole story. Ask every supplier for a written, line-by-line quote, and read any franchise disclosure document with a lawyer and an accountant before you sign.
About the calculator
The payback calculator is a planning tool. Its defaults are examples drawn from published figures, and material costs are placeholders. It is not a promise of income. Your results depend on your market, your pricing and how fast you build a customer base.
