Where the default numbers come from

  • Equipment: ArmorThane lists low-pressure bedliner systems from $25,000 and high-pressure systems at closer to $50,000. Spray foam rig tiers come from ThePricer (entry $38K-$60K, mid $60K-$90K, high $90K-$130K+). The polyurea figure uses EngineerFix's $50K-$80K for a commercial rig.
  • Prices: ArmorThane's cost guide ($525-$700 for most beds), ArmorThane's RV roof range ($3,500-$7,000 for a 30 ft rig), This Old House's average attic foam job ($4,450), and published garage floor pricing.
  • Material: placeholders. Current per-gallon dealer pricing is not published in a reliable, recent source, so replace these with a written quote from your supplier.
  • Financing: the interest rate is an example. ArmorThane and Rhino both point buyers to third-party equipment lenders, who set the actual terms.

What the calculator leaves out

Your own salary, taxes, slow months, warranty redo work and the time it takes to build a customer base. Use a conservative jobs-per-week number for the first year. The startup guide walks through a full worked example.
